Scott Kirschenbaum is a filmmaker whose work explores grief, resilience, and the human condition through intimate documentary storytelling. He is the director of the docuseries WAILING EARTH, which premiered at Madison Square Garden and follows personal and collective recovery after Hurricane Helene. His previous films include THE LAST ECSTATIC DAYS, praised by The Boston Globe as a "courageous end-of-life chronicle," the Emmy-recognized Independent Lens documentary YOU'RE LOOKING AT ME LIKE I LIVE HERE AND I DON'T, and the award-winning documentaries THESE ARE MY HOURS, A SOAPBOX IN HAITI, and ELEMENTARY COOL. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina.
