Karen Pearlman is an award-winning filmmaker, editor, author, and practice-led researcher whose work explores editing as a creative and choreographic practice. Her films reclaim overlooked histories of women in cinema and have screened internationally, receiving numerous awards, including an Oscar longlist and Australian Academy Award nomination for I Want to Make a Film About Women (2020). She is the author of the internationally acclaimed textbook Cutting Rhythmsand co-director of The Physical TV Company, whose documentary, drama, and dance films have screened at more than 400 film festivals worldwide.
